Nutanix EA v4 APIs and SDKS released!

Nutanix.dev - EA v4 APIs Released

Table of Contents

Today marks the next milestones in our Nutanix API journey. Early Access to version 4 (v4) of our client REST APIs and SDKs has just been announced and both are now available to all Nutanix customers.

If you are an existing user of the Nutanix Prism REST APIs, you’ll know we’ve been working on making significant changes over the past few months (and years) but have always have a somewhat fragmented collection of APIs. This included the Prism APIs themselves but also, since the launch of API v3 in 2018, other Nutanix products too.

The v4 APIs and SDKs will merge many of these fragmented API collections into a commonly-managed and documented collection, easing both entry into and continuing use of those APIs.

This quick article is intended to draw your attention to the existence and launch of those APIs, with the best way to get started being the new v4 API intro page (linked below). From there you will get access to:

  • API v4 Documentation
  • API v4 Migration Guide (start here if you’re an existing user of our Prism APIs)
  • Current code sample library

Over the coming days and weeks we’ll also be adding some introductory tutorials that will help new users get started, too.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
