DevOps and Nutanix share a foundational purpose and birth year. In 2009, the creation of the Agile System Administration Google Group nurtured the DevOps movement, while newly incorporated Nutanix began to pioneer Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), which is on-premise agile infrastructure and management that powers private clouds. DevOps seeks to lower the barriers between application developers and infrastructure operators to deliver their work to customers. From the beginning, Nutanix HCI has been an ideal platform for DevOps.

Gene Kim has led sessions at Nutanix .NEXT user conferences and his most recent book, The Unicorn Project, has a reference to Nutanix.DEV day IoT hands-on-workshop lab. The DevOps Masterclass draws on his recent book’s topics and industry experience:

  • Discussion on DevOps and Digital Transformation, including the 5 ideals:
    1. Locality and Simplicity
    2. Focus, Flow & Joy
